Campaign FAQ
Unlike typical crowdfunding sites that charge higher fees, 99% of all donations through Peoples Collective go directly toward the cause. We operate at an industry-low 1% platform fee and provide hands-on support to families in need. Every campaign is thoroughly reviewed for authenticity and urgency.
How is Peoples Collective Campaigns different from other platforms?
Yes. Peoples Collective is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All eligible donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. You will receive a receipt for your records via email.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
99% of your donation goes directly toward the family’s identified need—The remaining 1% helps cover minimal platform costs.
Where does my donation go?
100% of your donation goes straight to helping the underprivileged members of your community. Our "Consumer" account (Used to purchase essential items for families) is separate from our Operations Account, which is funded by our partners and institutional donors. When you donate here, your funds go 100% towards buying and delivering essential items for families in need.
Where does my donation go?
Peoples Collective believes in transparency. All of the donations provided to applicants have a proof of receipt, photos of the items delivered, and photos of the applicants who have received donations (when appropriate and allowed). This information can be found on our Instagram page which is also available for viewing on our site.
How do I know my donation has been used appropriately?
No. At Peoples Collective, we believe in the power of diversity and provide assistance and accept volunteers regardless of race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status, etc.
